The TTC trip took place from the 23rd of January to the 26th of January 2023 with the aim of learning LXD (Learning Experience Design). This trip had two destinations; plantations in Gondosuli and Rumah Atsiri Indonesia. Activities in Gondosuli included following the plantations to the edge of the forest and visiting one of the local plantations. The plantations in Gondosuli were not only full of carrots and broccoli, but also other plants such as spring onions, cabbage and many others. Teachers could also pull carrots to be harvested in one of the residents’ plantations. Later, the carrots can be taken home.

The second destination was Rumah Atsiri in Watusambang Plumbon Tawangmangu Karanganyar. Rumah Atsiri offered many activities for the visitors, two of which were the garden tour and the museum tour. The museum tour taught the teachers about the history of essential oil and Rumah Atsiri Indonesia. The gardens tour at Rumah Atsiri took place in the gardens around the greenhouse, which is filled with more than 80 species of plants that can produce essential oil. Teachers learned about the methods of processing essential plants to produce essential oil, learned about the essential plants growing around the greenhouse and the properties of each essential plant. With this activity, it was expected that the teachers would benefit from their experience as learners. Later, they will be able to design a teaching method using the experience gained in Gondosuli and Rumah Atsiri. ***
